How does The String Cleaner extend the strength and tone of your guitar strings? The String Cleaner does this by removing all the nasty oils, dead skin, and junk your fingers deposit onto your strings while you are playing. We all know as guitar players we do lots of movements, sliding, bending, and pulling off with and against the strings, and in doing that, these deposits are left, or in many cases, scraped off your fingers, which then attach themselves to the guitar strings. These deposits cause the oxidation and rust that inevitably destroy your guitar strings. The String Cleaner removes these harmful deposits. When should The String Cleaner be used? I suggest that The String Cleaner be used after every use of your guitar. Before you put it away, or put it on your stand, take 15 seconds and run The String Cleaner on your guitar strings. You will find that with this recommended use, The String Cleaner will extend the strength and tone of your guitar strings by AT LEAST 3 times more than an untreated set of strings. The benefits of The String Cleaner stretch well beyond the extension of tone and strength of your guitar strings. It actually saves you time and money which gives you more time and recourses for your music. Think about it. Increasing the life of your guitar strings, decreases the amount of time you need to change them, which means money saved from purchasing new guitar strings, and time saved from changing them. No. The String Cleaner version for Bass guitar will be available on February 1, 2009. How long will my String Cleaner last? Each of us treats our things differently, but if you use The String Cleaner with all my recommended usages it should last quite a long time. In fact, I have been using the same one for 6 months and it is still going strong. Does it matter if I use The String Cleaner with new or used guitar strings? Yes, it does. A new String Cleaner should be used with a new set of guitar strings. You will find that using your new String Cleaner with a new set of strings will allow the best performance and the longest life and tone possible for your new strings. Yes, of course The String Cleaner can be used to revitalize old or very damaged guitar strings, although if used for that reason, I highly suggest that it be cleaned after such use. When using with new strings, when should I clean my pads? The String Cleaner pads can be cleaned as desired, but should only need to be cleaned anytime you decide to change your guitar strings. Remember, with a new set of strings you should use a new String Cleaner, or in this case, a cleaned one. What inspired The String Cleaner? About 12 years ago, while being disgusted with cleaning my strings with alcohol, rags, and my fingernails, I came up with the idea for The String Cleaner. My first prototype was rather hilarious and certainly rather archaic. I then spent many years and a considerable amount of money designing and redesigning, prototyping and re-prototyping, patenting and re-patenting about 15 different versions to finally arrive at The String Cleaner you see before you. This device is hands down the best string-cleaning tool available on the market today, and in my opinion, the only one. How does The String Cleaner compare to other guitar string cleaning products? Other devices, systems, solutions, or home remedies simply cannot compete in anyway with how The String Cleaner functions, cleans, and how it extends the strength and tone of your guitar strings.
